Sometimes I forget that gay men are just men after all and deserve to die like the rest of them l o l

Kill all men, I don't give a fuck about their sexual preferences

The owner of a coffee shop I used to go to made comments about how women just need to shut up about rape, which upset me for obv reasons, and I wrote an entire poem about it because that's what I do, I write poems when things make me sad

And I was just expecting people to feel similarly upset, which some people were

But the only queer people I told about it (besides Rachel, who's the one who heard the comment in the first place) were these two white gay men, and they just don't give a shit at all

They still patronize that place and think it's cool to go there and one of them actually actively silenced what I had to say by deleting a comment I'd made on a picture they'd tagged at the place

And I know that sounds so trivial like "boo hoo they deleted my comment free speech protect da first ammendy" but to me the action of deleting those comments said so much more than just cleaning up a comments section.  It says that that guy doesn't want his followers to know about the issue, that he knows it's an important issue  (or he would have just left it up, because that's what you do with insignificant stupid things, you leave them alone), and that he is actively against it

What really stings is that this guy has done gay activism before

But that's what gay activism is: it's not queer activism, it's not LGBT activism, it's not human rights activism.  It's (white, well-off) gay men helping other (white, well-off) gay men
